When I was 30 I saw the world different than others. I shared those views only to discover many weren't here to see the same, by their very own design. I can remember a single meal and a single comment which changed the way I viewed the desires and interests of others. For that reason, I retracted from social endeavors, because the world they wanted to see was boring to me.
As a result, I spent more time "doing" than most until my body gave out. Then, with the advent of social media and the way I sought to recover, I spent more time "watching" than many. I spent my "spare time" programming until 2015 or so, when my servers were hacked. I've got over 30,000 pages of handwritten code for business systems to show for that. The server hack coincided more or less with the BofA Heloc debacle as I recall, and that forced me to start writing, although I don't recall ever thinking I'd write like that before, nor that I even could.
Since then I've spent much more of my time writing and far less time programming. If I had to guess, there's 30,000+ pages of prose written in the past 10 years, although I'd love to get back to more programming someday.
Maybe if I more formally publish some books, I can make some money that will take me back to my programming someday.
